Yesterday the Israeli Directors Union (IDU Israel Directors Union), together with our firm, the Invo Fund and PwC Israel broadcasted a live seminar on: Challenges and Opportunities in the Real Estate Field in Times of Crisis.

Within the seminar, partner Avigail Kastiel, Head of our Real Estate Practice Group, gave a lecture on the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the real estate market and legal issues arising due to the crisis. The lecture addressed, inter alia, upholding contracts in the age of coronavirus, when there are circumstances that preclude or limit the execution of commitments, which may be considered force majeure.

Avigail presented possible legal tools to deal with breach of contract claims in the aforementioned circumstances, and the suitability of contracts made prior to the crisis to the new circumstances, in addition to providing recommendations for new contracts.
